Our Coventry based client company has two vacancies for responsible Quality Inspectors (one for the day shift and the other for the night shift).

· They should be able to use their initiative and work under minimum supervision however, training will be given where necessary.

· Ideally applicants should have the following abilities:

· Read and interpret engineering drawings.

· Carry out dimensional verification using a wide range of gauges and equipment including, but not limited to, 'Micro Hite' height gauges, Sigma comparators, Brinell/Rockwell hardness testers, Bore Comparators, Rok-it gauges, Micrometers, Vernier Calipers, slip gauges and CMM.

· Calibrate Micrometers, Verniers, Plug gauges etc.

· Use and program CMM.

· Be tidy and organised, able to prepare Laboratory Reports, and ISIR's to the high standards expected by their customers

· Excellent communication skills, be IT literate, and be familiar with Microsoft Word Excel.

In addition the successful candidates should be flexible in their approach to work, and should be prepared to work overtime where necessary.

Our client is based in Islington, N16, and designs, manufactures and markets board games and puzzles.

Due to ever increasing government legislation covering Health & Safety they require a competent person to breakdown and evaluate the contents of the product.

The ideal candidate may have a chemical / science background along with organisational skills for keeping records up to date.

As legislation is constantly changing and the company regularly introduce new products and modify existing games, this is a permanent part-time position.

It is envisaged the work could be carried out during 3 mornings per week and may suit a semi-retired teacher or pharmacist.

Remuneration would be in the region of £30,000 pro rata for approximately 15 hours per week.

Our client designs and manufactures zinc die cast & thermosplastic products.

They require a Technical Administrator in their engineering office for the duration of a new computer system implementation project.

The company is bringing its computer system (J D Edwards) up to date and the critical path and the primary task is the transfer of engineering data into item master format.

It will be necessary to gain missing information either by interrogating the current sage system or by asking key employees such as supervisors or engineering colleagues.

You should have an engineering background in a design/engineering office ideally managing product data with a thorough understanding of BOM structures.

You should also have experience of excel and MRP applications. Sage experience would be helpful.

The duration of the contract is estimated to be 6 - 12 weeks, working on a full time basis of 8.30 - 4.30 with half hour lunch.

Our client company is based south of Kidderminster and are looking for an experienced, time served (apprenticed) Maintenance Electrician.

The ideal candidate should be fully conversant in electrical repair and maintenance of PLC based extrusion and conversion process equipment.

You should be able to understand electrical drawings and fault find and repair control boards where no drawings exist.

As well as improving the existing level of machine availability / uptime / reliability, you should be experienced in diagnosing and repairing a wide range of electrical and mechanical machinery.

The role will consist of changing AC and DC Drivers, Inverters and PLCs and rectifying programme faults.

The PLCs are a mixture of Siemens and Alan Bradley and the Drivers are EuroFirm.

A rota system is in place for on call work for which overtime will be paid.

Also required is the ability to design work-holding methods, establish and attain the required tooling and create documentation necessary to allow for production of the parts required.

Our client, a global software & solutions company, is looking for a UK New Business Manager to sell Indian offshore software development services from its offices in Birmingham to the UK and Europe.

Applicants must be able to demonstrate a successful track record of selling software development services to multi million pound organisations and prior experience with retail & utilities companies would be advantageous.
